The Englewood Democratic Club
Englewood is not incorporated as a city or town. It spans both Sarasota County AND Charlotte County. The Englewood Democratic Club (EDC) was formed to gather people across both counties to locally support environmental stewardship, accessible education, affordable healthcare, voting equity, good government policies and a sustainable economy.
We support Democratic Party principles and work to educate and inspire like-minded individuals to make a difference. Our monthly meetings foster fellowship and include speakers on important national, state and local topics. We volunteer to support Democratic organizations and candidates in both counties as well as local civic activities, such as our Pine Street Adopt-A-Road initiative.
But we are more than just work. We like to have fun and socialize with each other. In addition to monthly membership meetings, we also meet monthly for coffee and Happy Hour gatherings (Drinking Liberally). We look forward to seeing you at our meetings and social events.
