Florida State Legislative Session Ending March 9, 2024

State Capitol

2/19/24: With three weeks left in the 2024 Florida Legislative Session only 6 inconsequential administrative bills have passed both houses & been signed into law. Nothing of consequence has passed both houses. The next few weeks will be very busy.

If you are concerned about our environment and development, 1000 Friends of Florida has an excellent review of upcoming legislation:

FL 2024 Legislation “Deep Dive”

Bill Tracker

Below is a link to the current bill tracker spreadsheet.  It is organized by category, e.g. education, insurance, environment, etc.   It only includes bills that are assigned to committees, have a companion bill, and appear to have enough support to advance.

The last section is titled Presumably Dead.  These are controversial bills that have received publicity and are presumably dead because they either ran out of time or lost the support of leadership.   Click here to view the spreadsheet: http://tinyurl.com/53973nfj
