Delegate Elections
The Florida Democratic Party will send five delegates from Congressional District 17 to represent Florida as we nominate Joe Biden and Kamala Harris for re-election.
Congressional District 17, includes Sarasota and Charlotte Counties and a small portion of Lee County.
The Convention will be held in Chicago from August 19 to 22, 2024.
UPDATE April 22, 2024: Last Thursday and Saturday, CD17 elected three men and two women. Voting took place at SCDP HQ in Sarasota and Common Grounds in North Port and in Charlotte County. Any registered Democrat in CD17 was elgible to vote.

Thanks to JoAnne DeVries for her hard work in organizing and getting volunteers and making sure a lot of details were taken care of. And also Joan Roscoe and Greg Marshall for executing everything in North Port and the Democratic Black Caucus Resource Center.” Congratulations to Mary Clupper, Barbara Katz, Peter Imhoff, Lou Grossman, and Sebastian Martinez in Sarasota County and to Lucy Garner in Charlotte County
